About Yoga Tribe Scotland

Hello, and thank you for being here.

My name is Patty Fronc. I am the founder, managing director and teacher at Yoga Tribe Scotland. I qualified as a RYS 200 Yoga Teacher in 2014 at an international yoga school in India. As my own practice evolved, I continued to expand my training and teaching approach. After many years of teaching, I established Yoga Tribe Scotland here in Perthshire.

Our clients span a wide spectrum of ages, abilities and experience levels — from complete beginners to seasoned yoga practitioners.

At the heart of my work is a simple idea: helping people restore their capacity to live well.

Modern life can leave many of us feeling constantly “on” — overstimulated, tired and disconnected from the natural rhythms of rest and recovery. Through gentle yoga, breath awareness and mindful movement, I aim to create spaces where the nervous system can soften and the body can rediscover its natural balance.

My own path into yoga began through personal practice. I initially trained in Hatha and Ashtanga yoga (RYS 200 YTT), drawn to the depth and discipline of the traditional practices. I later spent many years training at an Iyengar Yoga school in Edinburgh, deepening my understanding of human anatomy, alignment and the intelligence of the body.

Over time my teaching and personal exploration evolved, and I went on to qualify as a Yin Yoga teacher, Yoga Nidra teacher and later as a mindfulness teacher.

This gradually opened the door to a deeper curiosity about stress, the nervous system, and the ways breath, movement and awareness can support our wellbeing.

Today my teaching blends restorative yoga, yin yoga, yoga nidra and breath-led movement (yes, more YTT qualifications). I am particularly interested in practices that allow gentle movement to glide through the layers of fascia while breath guides the practice.

Sometimes this takes the form of a flow practice, sometimes active rest. I take time to read the room, understand the needs of my students and adapt the practice accordingly.

My work is also informed by modern research into trauma, stress and nervous system regulation. Thinkers and practitioners such as Bessel van der Kolk, Peter A. Levine, Deb Dana and Polyvagal Theory have greatly influenced my understanding, alongside yoga teachers including Donna Farhi, Judith Hanson Lasater and the Scaravelli approach to yoga.

I also draw inspiration from the writings of Eckhart Tolle and the trauma-informed yoga work of Catherine Cook-Cottone and Joanne Spence, as well as the work of many neuroscientists, psychotherapists and philosophical thinkers exploring the relationship between body, mind and wellbeing.

Through Yoga Tribe Scotland I offer classes, workshops and retreats designed to help people slow down, reconnect with themselves and rediscover the simple but powerful art of rest.

I am affiliated with Yoga Alliance Professionals and recognised as an Experienced Teacher.

At Yoga Tribe Scotland we believe yoga should be accessible to everyone. Our classes are welcoming, easy to follow and open to all levels of ability.

I hope to see you soon at one of our sessions.
